On holidays and after 10 pm, we refer emergencies to

Fort Worth Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital
4631 Citylake Blvd.
 Fort Worth, TX 76132

This hospital offers excellent care with a complete staff and skilled emergency veterinarian on the premises all night long and on Holidays.  We trust them to help you and your pet in a time of crisis.

Why aren't we available 24 hours a day at The Pet Hospital?

When your pet has an urgent medical problem or emergency, we are here to help 358 days a year- all day Monday through Saturday and 1-6 pm on Sundays.  We take emergency calls for our established patients until 10 pm those days as well.  In order to spend irreplaceable time with our families, on the 7 major holidays each year, and from 10 pm-7:00 am daily, we refer emergencies to Fort Worth Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital

While we used to see emergencies all night long, we found that during the night, we cannot equal the quality of care that we strive to deliver during the day.  It is also unfair to our patients and our families who expect us to be available and at our best for them the next day.

We realize that this is an inconvenience in the rare case you have an emergency outside of our available hours.  Our long term goal is to offer 24 hour care here in Hood County and the surrounding areas, but unfortunately, the local demographics do not support a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week small animal veterinary hospital at this time.  We will continue to provide the level of care you have come to expect and trust until that time.
